PRIMO LIMO SERVICE FAQ's
Some pointers to help when booking your next limousine service
In general:
Try to give the operator as accurate pick up and destination details as you can, also let them know if you will be requiring additional stops. This helps them to allow the correct amount of time for your booking.
Also let them know if you will be requiring baby seats so they can come prepared.
Always give your operator a mobile contact number and ask for theirs. This helps the operator to alert you if they are caught in traffic or if he has trouble locating you for pick up.
Limousines are licensed to carry only so many passengers depending on body type. Always let the operator know exactly how many passengers there will be traveling.
Some operators offer extra services i.e. drink service, red carpet, security etc. Ask the operator what extras are available.
Remember not to keep the limo waiting, extra charges can apply.
Inquire with the operator. Most of all, enjoy your limousine journey!
1. Why should I book Primo Limo Service for my event?
We think the question should be why not book a Primo Limo for your event? Limousines
are classy, stylish and make a point that the event really means something special to you. Whoever you're renting a
limo for will appreciate the extra effort you have put into it.
2. Aren't limos really expensive though?
They can actually be cheaper than taxis. If there are 8-10 people going out for a birthday/ concerts/ private party/ you'll find that it's more comfortable, much more sociable and often cheaper to hire a limousine than hiring a taxi.
3. How Much Does It Cost To Rent A Limo?
Limousine rentals run in the neighborhood of $65 - $160 per hour with a MINIMUM of 3 or 4 hours of booked time. Many companies require a MINIMUM to 3 or 4 hours to provide service, with exception to standard airport service and splits.
4. Do I need a deposit?
A deposit is required to guarantee your reservation. The minimum deposit is $100.00 or 20% of your total reservation fee, whichever is greater. Deposits may be paid by credit card, check or cash.
5. How do I pay for my limousine?
Payment can be made by credit card, check or cash. Our coordinators will figure your total balance, including any extra packages you order and gratuity and tell you the amount due. You may pay the full balance at the time of your deposit, or if you prefer, the balance can be paid when your limousine arrives to pick you up. All limousine reservations must be paid BEFORE your trip begins. If you plan to pay your balance by credit card, please call 3-5 business days before your reservation so we have time to process your reservation. Certain exceptions apply.
6. What is the gratuity?
The gratuity is for the driver's service during your reservation. We calculate your expected gratuity at 20% when you make your reservation. If your reservation is paid in full including gratuity prior to your pickup, no further gratuity is necessary. If you feel your driver has done an exceptional job and want to offer him an extra gratuity, he will be happy to accept it, but we will make sure you understand that the expected gratuity has already been paid.
7. Is the gratuity added to the bill and if so, how is it calculated?
For your convenience, a 20% gratuity will be added to each luxury limousine. The gratuity is based on the trip's total price and charged to the deposit, along with the balance due on arrival. Any extra tip may be given directly to your driver, or by calling us at (213) 381-0003.

8. Can we rent a limo for 1 hour?

Minimum bookings can increase to 5, 6 or even 8 hours in times of high demand like weddings, graduations, proms and holidays. Waiting periods are also part of your rental time. Limos that are waiting for customers, even for 2-3 hours, cannot be used in other locations.
9. If I have the car booked for 3 hours, is the car and driver always available to me?
If you have booked the limousine for an extended reservation (2 hours or more), the driver is at your disposal for the entire time of your reservation. He will provide you with his cell phone number while you are at dinner or at some event so you may contact him at any time to come and get you.

Many guests also bring along their cameras to preserve their special memories.
12. Can you arrange for some flowers, candy and a red carpet to be waiting in the limo for my girlfriend/wife?
We certainly can, and we are also able to arrange Primo Vacations, free entry and VIP pass into some of the trendiest clubs. We can arrange a nice collection of DVD’s and CD’s on board the limousine. Give us a call or email to see what we can do.

16. Can children/young passengers ride in the limousine without an adult?
We do lots of children's birthday parties and trips for middle and high school passengers. We do not require an adult to travel with middle school and high school passengers, but they are always welcome to do so. Our drivers all really enjoy working with young passengers and get along well with them. All children younger than middle school age must be accompanied by at least one adult due to legal reasons.
17. I want to hire a limo for my child's birthday, is that okay?
Absolutely! We do lots of children's birthday parties. We recommend that an adult be in the car if your children are younger than middle school age. All children younger than middle school age must be accompanied by at least one adult due to legal reasons.
18. I need a limousine for a wedding but I'm not sure when/how long should I reserve it. Can you advise me?
Absolutely! With many years of experience we know how to make your wedding day less stressful and more enjoyable. But as each wedding is different we strongly advise you to give us a call to discuss your requirements further. It's best to contact us as soon as you set the date for your wedding. A good guideline is to reserve your limousine the same day that you reserve your reception hall. Remember that the months of April, May, June, September, and October are popular for wedding dates. If you are booking a date during those times, make sure you do so as early as possible.
19. When should I book a limousine for prom/formals?
Most proms and formals are in the spring, so this tends to be a very busy time of year. It's important to make your prom/formal reservations early, as soon as the prom/ formal date are known. We'll make every accommodation to meet your needs, but your prompt action is the best insurance for securing the date you want.
20. What are your minimums for proms/formals?
On certain prom/formal dates, our cars have a 6 hour minimum booking time, plus gratuity. The deposit for these dates is 1/2 of the reservation total. All prom/formal reservations must be paid in full, including gratuity, 15 days prior to your reservation. Once we have filled our initial 6 hour minimum time slot, we will make reservations for shorter periods of time before and after the main booking if time is available. These bookings must also be paid in full 15 days prior to the date of your reservation.
21. Do we have to pay for the Limo while we attend the Concert?
In cases where you aren't using the limousine during your rental (such as bar-hopping, dinner reservations, concerts, sporting events, etc.) you still have to pay for the rental time, even if you aren't physically using the vehicle. While you are at a concert, the vehicle cannot be used elsewhere; even when there are 2 or 3 hours in between the pickup. Some companies sometimes offer a discounted hourly rate when the vehicle is idly waiting outside a concert or sports venue. In addition, if there are more than 4 hours between and pick-up with minimum travel time, some companies may offer a "split" - just a rental to-and-from your destination with no charge for waiting time in between. This is not recommended!
22. What is your policy on Waiting Time and overtime?
Waiting Time or Overtime charge starts after 15 minutes of scheduled Pickup time or drop-off time, and it billed at 30 minutes increment. Overtime rate varies depending on the Vehicle Type.
23. What if my limousine time runs over?
All reservations are initially booked by the hour. If you have a 2-3 hour rental, the driver will allow you an extra 15 minutes time. If you go over the 15 minutes, he will then charge you for the next 1/2 hour, plus gratuity. We will let you know whether we have another reservation right after your time and if the driver needs to end your trip exactly as scheduled. If we have time available, you are always welcome to extend your trip for as long as it is available on our schedule and the driver will charge you for your extra time, plus gratuity.
24. When does my time start and end?
If we are picking you up anywhere in the Los Angeles area, your limousine time begins when we arrive to pick you up and ends when we drop you off. If you live outside the Los Angeles area, we have longer minimums; if you prefer, we can charge for travel time instead however you receive your full time in the limousine.
25. What if we have gone over our reservation time but want to keep the party going?
No problem! You may continue your limo reservation provided that yours is the last reservation of the day or there are no other reservations that day for that vehicle. Just check with the driver and we will do everything possible to keep the party going.
